John Berryman conducted the band this year and after an inauspicious opening the band settled to produce powerful and commanding performance, but unfortunately this was not the view point from the box and the damage had been done early on.
Special mentions must go to Ben Godfrey for stepping into the Principal Cornet seat at the last moment and to John Hitchens for his high class playing on the day. The band goes from strength to strength and is now looking forward to a full diary of events for 2014.
