They will open with the Funiculi Funicula Rhapsody, before moving through Verdi’s Force of Destiny overture, and then featuring percussionists Charlie Hodge and Justin Strike in Listeria. The first half will end with Peter Graham’s Myths and Legends on Alderley Edge.
To open the second half, George Lloyds HMS Trinidad march and Brillante, featuring John Hitchens and Angela Retallack, will be followed by Lady Stewarts Air, and Janacek Fibich’s elegant piece, Poem. All performers will then join forces to deliver the finale, Cornish Proms, including all the traditional favourites. The evening will be compered by BBC Spotlights Rebecca Wills.
