Last night saw the final appearance of Marcus Dunstan as a member of the Camborne Town Band. Marcus is moving "up country" to be closer to his son after becoming a grandad earlier this year.
Marcus has been with the band for 34 years and in this time has not only been a playing member but has held most of the positions in the running of the band. All playing members past and present will know for sure the amount of hard work and dedication Marcus has put into the running of this band. He is a true gentleman and Camborne Band have been extremely lucky to have him so heavily involved.
Marcus was presented with 2 gifts from the band at his last rehearsal last night. MD Kevin Mackenzie added: "Since I first began conducting the band 9 years ago, Marcus has been always eager to help in any way possible. I will surely miss him but I have his number and I have no doubt he will be involved in some way!"
We all wish him all the happiness in his new life with his family.
