On Friday 30th January the Camborne Town Band performed in a concert organised by the Camborne Royal British Legion in which various awards were presented within the British Legion, but also one to a member of the band.
This award is called the Camborne Royal British Legion Shield and is presented by them to a member of the Camborne Town Band in recognition for their dedication and work. This is only the second time this has been presented after the band's bass player, James Sturges, was awarded the shield last year.
Marcus Dunstan has been awarded with the shield this year for the continued hard work he carries out on a daily basis for the band. The whole band wanted to thank him for his efforts which are greatly appreciated by everyone in the organisation.
