Tim Joslin has been announced as the new Solo Eb Tuba with the 2014 Royal Trophy winners, the Camborne Band.
Tim re-joins Camborne having played with Roche Brass at the recent West of England Bandsman's Festival in Bugle. Since last playing for Camborne in 2009, Tim has been the sousaphone player with the very successful Cornish Wurzels.
Tim commented: "I’m really excited to be back with the Camborne Band. I've had a great few years with the Cornish Wurzells and would like to thank them for their friendship during that time."
Tim first joined Camborne in 1982, a year which included the band's top four placing at the National Finals. After many successful years on 1st Baritone, he made the move to Eb Bass, via a short spell on Euphonium. During many successful years with Camborne, he is proud to have represented the band at fifteen National Finals in the Royal Albert Hall, in addition to two visits to Paris and many other excellent concert and contest performances.
Musical Director, Kevin MacKenzie said: "It’s great to sign Tim back to the band. He is one of the finest and most experienced lower brass players in the South West and it’s pleasing to have an even stronger section available to us as a result."
